Compass to Care Childhood Cancer Foundation

Compass to Care is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that ensures children, whose parents have a financial need, can access life-saving cancer treatment. We carry out this mission by scheduling and paying for all travel arrangements to get children with cancer from their homes to the hospital for treatment. This includes airfare, bus fare, car rental, gasoline, lodging, parking, taxi, train, and tolls.

Our founder, Michelle Ernsdorff-May, is a Park Ridge resident. She started the organization in 2010 in honor of the emotional and financial struggles her parents faced while traveling to get her the best treatment when she battled cancer as a child.
