Mike is excited to be part of the BlueLake team where he can apply his education and broad personal experience to helping families define and achieve their goals. He believes in developing strong relationships and enjoys having frequent contact with clients to make sure their plans stay on track. Mike also feels financial literacy is very important, especially for the younger generations, and appreciates having the opportunity to increase people’s understanding of their financial options.

Mike grew up in the Bronx, NY, but has been in the Chicago area for 30 years. Mike has lived in Park Ridge for 15 years with his wife, Lan, and their two daughters. Mike enjoys biking, gardening and genealogy, and is on the Board of Park Ridge Friends of the Parks. Mike’s family loves to travel and they have focused on exposing the kids to a wide variety of people, places and cuisines. In fact, Mike, his wife and their teenage daughters have visited all 50 states.

I'm the Founder and Clinical Director of Life Counseling Institute, with locations in Park Ridge and Willowbrook. I'm thrilled to be part of the Park Ridge Chamber Community. I'm a specialist in the treatment of anxiety disorders--especially OCD--and have a skilled staff of clinicians who I've trained in the latest techniques for treating anxiety. We also specialize in couples counseling, helping moms, and counseling for children and teens. I'm also a certified addictions counselor and Illinois licensed school counselor. 

I'm co-owner and funeral director at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where serving families is more than a profession—it’s a calling. I’m dedicated to helping people navigate life’s most difficult moments with care, respect, and personalized support.
